Animal Farm is, in my opinion, one of the best books for understanding Communism and its flaws. Orwell uses a simple story to reveal how revolutions can go wrong and how power slowly corrupts even those with good intentions.
The book starts strong, with animals rebelling against their oppression, but as things progress, it becomes clear that true equality is almost impossible. Some animals are naturally more productive or strategic, and that imbalance shifts everything.
Chapters Four through Seven stood out most to me especially Chapter Seven, which hits hard and deserves a second read. By the end, the original vision is lost, and the animals can’t even tell the difference between their rulers and the ones they overthrew.
